I’m really grappling with get a formal dx for my son and starting meds however I feel his true personally is over ridden constantly by his ADHD, he is such a beautiful boy inside when calm.

I’m married to one of those people who believe that ADHD isn’t real and that my daughter who isn’t his needs to be punished for who she because she doesn’t behave like he thinks she should and labels her as spoiled and overly emotional. Thank you for this article it has opened my eyes and I gives me the drive to be understanding, compassionate and supportive.
